Brazilian beef exports grow 26% from January to November

Brazilian beef exports grew 25.8% from January to November, compared to the same period last year, reaching a total of 2.16 million tons, according to the Brazilian Meat Packers Association (Abrafrigo).

Revenues from exports increased by 44% in the same period this year, reaching USD 12.2 billion in total.

In the first eleven months of the year, China bought 1.15 million tons of Brazilian beef, 59% more than in the same period last year.

The United States, the second largest importer, bought 173.1 thousand tons of Brazilian beef, up 47% in the annual comparison.

In November of this year, the volume of Brazilian beef exported was 173.8 thousand tons, a slowdown compared to the previous four months when more than 200 thousand tons of beef were exported monthly.

Revenue from shipments also fell to USD 872.7 million, compared to over USD 1 billion in the previous eight months.
