After a period of stability in 2021, chicken production costs rose again in Brazil. In February, the increase reached a new record, up 16% compared to February last year.
The average variation of the last 12 months was quite expressive, with an increase of 33.50%. Comparing the cost and the price received by the chicken in this period, the first evolved 16% and the price received 10%.
When comparing the most recent values with those recorded two years ago, in February 2020, there was a 52% correction in the price of chicken and the cost of production increased by 85%.
