In January, the resumption of beef purchases by China boosted Brazilian protein exports. More than 140 thousand tons of the product were sent from Brazil to the world consumer market.
According to the Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secex), in the annual comparison, there was an increase of 31% in Brazilian shipments. Compared to December 2021, the increase was 10.7%.
The expectation is that Brazil will increase even more beef exports, reaching close to the record 2021, when 187,000 tons were shipped in only one month (September).
